Sitting Pretty have researched our market and we have carefully chosen which mechanisms we feel are reliable and beneficial for the user needs whilst also fitting our own “new eco-low noise motors”. These are available with our exclusive designed curve handsets offering a detachable safety feature (please see our Chair Safety page).

Tilt-in Space

The most popular choice, this motor operates the footrest and back together (fixed angle) providing a wonderfully smooth recline with a high footrest elevation. Also highly recommended for those who suffer from back or neck problems. Available with 20 and 25 stone capacity.

Wall Hugger

This mechanism cleverly moves forward on the recline cycle allowing the chair to be placed closer to the wall. Available as 18 stone lift only.

Dual Motor

Provides independent operation of the footrest and backrest, with a horizontal sleep position. This mechanism is available with 20, 25, 30, 35, 50 and 70 stone lift capacity.

Dual Motor Tilt-In-Space

This mechanism like the standard dual motor operates the foot and backrest independently. The difference being the backrest movement. The angle of the back and seat remain at a fixed angle giving a wonderfully smooth reclining movement. Available with 20 and 25 stone capacity.

Manual

Like the Wall Hugger this recline only action moves forward in the recline push position.

Electric Recline Only

This electronic handset is ideal for those unable to push forward manually.
